My background is as follows: I completed my undergraduate studies at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. After receiving my Podiatric Medical Degree from the Temple College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, I completed an internship at the Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ. I continued my training at Bryn Mawr Hospital where I completed a residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. I am a diplomat of The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association. I am board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in foot surgery. I also have lectured at many facilities in the surrounding Montgomery and Delaware County areas. I am currently on staff at Paoli, Lankenau, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Hahnemann, and Presbyterian Hospitals and Medical centers.
I am a former collegiate level wrestler and lacrosse player. My special areas of interests are sports medicine, general podiatric care, diabetic foot care, wound care management, and surgery of the foot and ankle. My main objective is to give my patients the most up to date and optimum care possible.
Dr. Ushma Sheth
Dr. Ushma Sheth is a highly trained and skilled foot and ankle specialist with experience treating a wide array of foot and ankle conditions from minor problems to complex reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Sheth takes pride in having a genuine interest in each and every one of her patients while providing them the utmost compassion and exceptional care.
Dr. Ushma Sheth completed her undergraduate studies in Public Health and received her doctorate from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia in 2015. Dr. Sheth residency training as Chief Resident was completed at Virtua Health System where she received extensive training in lower extremity trauma, diabetic limb salvage, and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. To further her surgical training Dr. Sheth completed apprenticeship in Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Sheth's interests include all facets of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with an emphasis on holistic and wholesome approach to treating all Foot and Ankle conditions. Dr. Sheth is also well experienced in the advanced minimally invasive techniques for plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis, including cryosurgery, platelet rich plasma and amniotic regenerative injections, and Tenex Treatment, a minimally invasive, non-surgical approach for eliminating scar tissue, the source of chronic tendon pain.
Dr. Sheth is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. During her personal time she enjoys Tennis, Golf and exploring local restaurants.
Dr. Ira Meyers
Dr. Ira Meyers received his B.S. in biology in 1982 from The College of William and Mary, and his D.P.M. degree from The Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (now Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine) in 1987. He completed his residency in podiatric surgery at The Osteopathic Medical Center of Philadelphia. De. Meyers became board certified in podiatric surgery in 1993, and completed a fellowship in podiatric sports medicine in 1989.
As an avid runner with an accomplished list of accolades, Dr. Meyers specializes in treating running injuries. A winner of many races, including the Philadelphia and Log Island marathons, Dr. Meyers has had the opportunity to work with many runners of all levels, including Olympians.
Dr. Meyers practices all phases of podiatry. He is currently on staff at Holy Redeemer Hospital, Abington Memorial Hospital, Jeannes Hospitals, Einstein-Elkins Park Hospital and Presbyterian Hospital.
